Scalp vein infusion sets with butterfly needles, are EO sterile, non-toxic,single-use medical devices, consisting of a winged needle connected to a flexible tubing that ends with a Luer Lock fitting that allows adaptation to the infusion line.It is suitable for intravenous infusion,injection , blood transfusion and blood collection.

A Scalp Vein Set is made up of five elements :

1. a protective sheath of the needle.

2. a short needle with a short stainless steel bevel.

3. a plastic hub consisting of two soft wings used to grip and ecure the device.

4. a transparent flexible tube.

5. a female Luer Lock fitting that can be blocked by a luer cap or by a multi-activated valve needle free connector.
