This vacutainer needle holder is a single-use product that comes in a bag of 200 units. The container is roughly 2 inches in size and is compatible with needles of all gauge sizes. It is not intended for use with test strips, only for holding a single needle for blood collection purposes. The item is not sterile, and the thread is located on the inside of the hub.The purpose of the needle holder is to securely hold and protect the needle during blood collection procedures.

How to do blood draw by using blood collection tube?
1.Open needle package. Twist to break the tamper-evident seal. Remove cap, exposing the back portion of the needle and threaded hub. Do not remove front needle cover.
2.Assemble needle to holder. Thread needle into holder until firmly seated.
3.Insert blood collection tube into holder. Push straight onto needle, no further than the guideline on the holder.
4.Apply tourniquet, prepare venipuncture site using only the non-alcoholic antiseptic pad provided in this kit. Position the arm in a downward or lowered altitude.
5.Remove needle cover, perform venipuncture in the usual manner, keeping the tube in an upward position with the stopper upper-most.
6.Push bloodtube forward to end of holder, piercing the rubber stopper. When blood flows into tube, remove tourniquet as soon as blood begins to fill tube. During this procedure,do not allow contens of tube to contact stopper.
7.When the tube fill is complete and blood ceases to flow, remove the tube from the holder. Insert the second tube straight into the holder until blood flows.
8.When sampling is completed immediately remove the needle/holder assembly with the last bloodtube, then remove the tube from the assembly: Apply and hold a dry sterile compress to the venipuncture site. Elevate the arm.
9.To assure proper mixing with anticoagulant powder, Slowly invert the tubes at least eight times immediately after blood collection.
